Thought This was Over..

Well! I really thought that with the passing of Proposition 8 that we had jumped our biggest hurdle. Turns out not so much... In case you haven't heard - a Federal District Judge (Vaughan Walker) reversed Proposition 8 and allowed homosexual marriage again in California. But there is a strong team of family supporters that jumped ALL over that and got it appealed. Any new marriages were suspended until a decision could be made.

Here's the scary part - let me quote a newsletter I got from www.FamilyWatchInternational.org:

This case has national implications as well.
If the Supreme Court were to rule that homosexuals have a constitutional right to marry, it would at a stroke wipe out all the state marriage laws and state constitutional amendments in 41 states that now protect man/woman marriage in most of the U.S.. The only way to restore marriage following such a ruling would be to pass a federal constitutional amendment, a very difficult task at best.

Forget horror movies - I'm going to be thinking about THIS to keep me up at night... I know several moms who have started to redo their basements into mini schools because after this they've decided to home teach their kids no matter WHAT state they're in.

Go to www.FamilyWatchInternational.org to subscribe to their newsletter - its super informative and I love it.

And then the president of Family Watch International (Sharon Slater) just came out with a book called Stand for the Family. If anyone knows her stuff it's Sharon! She is the one who writes the newsletters and just a super stable lady. If you're able - I would order up! You can also get the book for free if you can get at least 50 people to sign the petition. That's a win-win right there! Its the website for her book and ALSO for the petition. You can go here: http://www.standforthefamily.org

Lets follow the counsel of the brethren and keep ourselves in the know. Sometimes I feel like this is a fight with the devil himself... Might as well read up on how to beat him in the modern world.
